There is no limit to my desire to paint any subject or style, and often feel there is not enough time to paint it all. I have a yearning to paint, which I believe is the only criteria necessary to call oneself an artist. One has to find a joy in seeing color, and applying it. Planning and executing a painting can be very draining physically, mentally and emotionally, but is so very satisfying.
My education, career, children and family life, interfered with my ability to indulge myself in art for many years. After retirement, I launched myself into art, and am now painting every minute available. After 6 years, I have progressed and have had my work accepted into shows such as Magnum Opus, Aspiring Artist’s Debut, bold Expressions, In the Style of the Old Masters and What! You Call That Art!
I work in acrylics, and my work includes some mixed media and portraits by commission.
